projects

Current

gps
Experiments with GPS.
simba
Yet another backup and archive tool.
qpsmtpd
I am contributing a bit to the qpsmtpd SMTP server.

Blue Sky

Ideas which may some day evolve into projects.

Faxe - Fingerfriendly Alternative to Xml Editing
A Markup Language.
messaging
Some ideas for a decentralized, spam- and eavesdropping-proof messaging system.

Hibernating

Projects which were abandoned at some time but which are interesting enough that they may be revived in the future.

linux-backup-suite
This one never got over the requirements phase. The guy who started it probably got scared when he saw the list of requirements :-). The writeup of the requirements was actually my only contribution to the project. It may still be useful as a starting point for evaluating backup software, so I'm keeping it. Some of the ideas were used for simba.

Abandoned

ecofocus
SFHINX
the Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror Index.

Finished

dsb
The "distributed secure backup". I'm not really sure whether I should classify that as "finished" or "hibernating". It has been in use for several years now, so one could say it is "finished". OTOH, I have a lot of ideas for improvements.
